Beach Day

yesterday I kidnapped my best friend Rachel when she got off work for a fun date in Galveston.

here are the highlights:

Eating at The Spot!

One of my favorite restaurants ever! Best fries ever! Amazing veggie burgers too, but I decided to go with the fried pickles since I've been craving fried pickles for a few months now.

seriously if you are ever in Galveston, I highly recommend this restaurant. amazing food, super cool building. one of my favs.

+ Spinning in circles on the beach, flapping our arms like birds & having the lifeguard think we were drunk.

+ Laughing till we cried sitting on the beach, talking about old memories.

+ Playing soccer on the beach until our feet were blood red from kicking so hard.

+ almost hitting a couple that was making out with our soccer ball.. Did I mention the girl had her shirt off..? & no bathing suit. She was laying on her stomach most of the time we were there while her boyfriend rubbed her back & got a little too touchy feely.. This isn't the Jersey Shore! Get a room!

+ Getting Ben & Jerry's.

+ The facebook status war we had when we got to her house.

Just trust me, always sign out of your facebook.

Low-lights:

+ Using an entire tank of gas in one day. Seriously, gas is expensive these days.

& somewhere in there I'm suppose to do last minute shopping, actually see my mother, hang out with two people, wash my clothes & pack, & get two more shots...

Date Weekend

I hadn't been to Rachel's in awhile we've both been busy with working and so on so it was nice to see her, we had dinner and a movie which was so fun.

we actually decided we should start having 'date nights' every weekend...err.. every other weekends seeing how we are broke as heck! haha
we also had a fun weekend filled with tons of games of yatzee & skip-bo and some much needed movies...

Also cant wait for you guys to see the early birthday present I'm getting myself... Yes. I am buying myself a present. I mean who knows what you want better than yourself, right?

I am thankful for:

The weekend that turned into a week!

Oh so sorry for being away from blog land for so long!

I'll tell you exactly what happened!

Its kind of a funny story actually...

Friday: So as I had said before I was going to the "Fire on the Altar" this weekend!

So we (my, Rachel, Amber & my adopted mother Peri) left Friday & got a hotel on the other side of Houston, went to the Fire on the Altar (it was 50 hours straight, none stop) left Friday night, ran over to CastleLights cd release party, watched them play, ran back to the Fire on the Altar, went to the hotel to sleep a few hours,

Saturday: got up went back to the Fire on the Altar, went to eat some yummy dinner at my new fav place in Houston, The Red Balloon, went back to Fire on the Alter around 3am or 4am or so went back to our hotel to sleep.

Sunday: Got back up, checked out of our hotel, went to fire on the altar again! Took a lunch break & decided HEY! Why not drive to there resort in Galveston & check in & stay there tonight since we don't really want to go home yet!? So we drove all the way out to Galveston, ate at The Spot, checked in, went all the way back to Fire on the Altar till 10pm when it was finally over, drove all the way back to Houston that night, went to sleep in there BEAUTIFUL executive presidential suite, then

Monday: Morning came & the stupid fire alarm in the building (seriously... loudest most horrid sounding fire alarm I've ever heard) went off, after the maintenance people FINALLY got it off we went back to sleep, then when we finally did get up Amber had to go back home due to work & Peri (Rachel's mom, my second mommy hehe) decided to go get us groceries & just let us stay there till Wednesday (today) by ourselves.

Tuesday: We slept in, ate a yummy breakfast on the patio, talked about the dreams we had had finally decided to walk to the beach then Jer (Rachel's brother, Lead guitarist in CastleLights plus one of my best friends) called & asked if he could come hang with us which he did & we went back to the beach for a late night walk, played a skip-bo game that lasted what seemed like 3 hours, watched Dumb & Dumber & Without A Paddle & finally collapsed into bed.

Wednesday: Woke up to the alarm AGAIN! at 8:30 (it really wasn't funny... I was walking around disoriented bumping into things trying to get away from the ringing in my ears.. horrible), Jer left for work, Rach went back to bed & I curled up on the couch with some old black & white movies until Peri came & picked us up & brought me home & you'll never guess what I came home to!

My dream bed! The one I've been wanting forever! My mother bought it for me & set it up. She also bought me some more string lights & a new chair. Plus she cleaned my room for me! & my room looked a bit like Justin Bieber ran through it followed by his entire fan base & everything was destroyed in the wake, so thanks mom! You made a perfect end to a great week!

Weekend Recap

I always eat so well there! You have no idea! Its like homemade food heaven! Me & Rach busted out our aprons & made some steak tacos. It was D-LISH!
So Saturday night I was sitting on Rachel's bed staring at her room & I realized, 'Holy Crap! Her room is amazing!'.
I grew up in this room. In fact a lot, maybe even most, of the words written on these walls are by me. Its like when you grow up around something you don't see the extremely brilliance of it anymore!
So decided to share a little preview of it.

Frankie's Birthday Weekend 2010

Hey guys!
Just dropping in to see if everyone had a fabulous weekend!?
I know I did.
I spent Thursday & Friday with my Best Friend Rachel,
we celebrated our Best Friend & other half Frankie's birthday.
Yes,
She does live in Utah right now,
but that is no reason we cant have a party just like we would if she was here.
We also made her a rainbow cake :D
Then we had to eat it for her.
Pure torture ;)
I also got to spend time with frankie's brother Cory, who is also one of my best friends. He recently moved back to Texas from Utah & I hadn't gotten to see him yet.
He is so fun! I missed him!
We spent two days together & Saturday we stayed up till like 1:30am watching a scary movie.
Driving home half asleep & paranoid is no fun though haha
Oh!
and lastly!
My fuljifilm Instax Mini came in :D
I cant wait to bust out my scanner & put my first roll I took up :)

Last Weekend, I know I'm late.

This weekend I spent with my best friend Rachel at her house.
We made bread from scratch,
hung out with our good friend Mich who is visiting from Germany & staying with us,
Introduced him to 'Step Brothers'. Like seriously, How can you not have seen that movie!?

Life, as of the first three days of September

I don't want to blog about meaninglessness but I'm trying to become a better blogger & the first step is to always blog even when i don't think anyone will be interested.

so here goes.

- I'm sick, & have been for over a week now.
- My bosses are moving into their new home, which I've been helping with.
- Today was my first day off in forever!
- My mom is out of town for the weekend, left today.
- I only have $20 dollars in my wallet.. Well.. less than that now I got lost on the way home & had to pay to get off the toll road -_- I need some money for sure.
- I'm hungry.
- Every single one of my friends are pulling me in a million different directions & I'm not a freakin robot & cant be there for EVERYONE, ALL THE TIME! I've tried it, Its impossible. Just cause I don't see you everyday doesn't mean I hate you, it means I have a life.
- I really want to spend the rest of my weekend (after I get off tomorrow) at my bff (I hate that term but.. oh well.) Rachel's but I don't have a puppy sitter for little Harley boy. Plus I feel bad about just leaving him here without his grandma.
- The only person I really really want to talk to is on a completely different time zone than me. Which means it is 9:30am here.. 11:30am there & he's still not up... Which means I'm going to be up all night talking to him, & I have work at 7am in the morning.. & I don't wake up to alarms... & my mom isn't here to wake me... which means.. a LOT of Monsters...

Fourth

Happy late fourth!

My computer has been broken... I'm sorry I haven't updated lately!

My fourth went a little like this:

Church, in cut offs and barefoot.

Feeling sick, because the day before I ate nothing & I just drank a Monster (bad combo)

Felt A LOT better when I ate some veggie kebabs!

Then I had some Monster jello shots (what can I say? Its an addiction)

I shot off a lot off my first fireworks AND had my first sparklers :D

plus,

Me and Rachel went on a haunted house adventure.

Oh yeah.

Probably the best fourth of July yet!

Besides the feeling bad part but hey!

We can't have it all..

Ihop? Oh man, I hope!

On the fourth of July I drove to Rachel's house after church & she rode home with me.

But we took a little detour...

She had been talking about how she wanted Ihop for weeks & weeks, & needless to say..

she was happier than a kid in a candy store.

Well,

I must admit I have a bit of a television addiction.

I get bored during the day and probably watch a bit more than i should.

The sad part is I barely even, really pay attention.

I normally keep it on while I am playing on the computer or I will turn it on something I don't even care to watch simply because I am bored.

The average person is suppose to watch two hours of TV a day (or so I've read).

So today (and hopefully every day for the rest of the week)

I am only going to watch two hours of television.

Hopefully I will get to catch up on some reading.

I envy my friends like Rachel who barely even watch TV.

So bye bye TV.

I will get rid of this horrible addiction yet.

Yesterday I went over to my best friend Rachel's

and we had a little photo shoot in her back yard before

we had to go to youth.

We had a great LONG night.

(didn't go to sleep till 6am)

we mostly just talked,

and went for a run.

This is going to be an exciting weekend though!

Keep Austin Weird {Day One: Friday}

I know my last blog I was aggravated about having to pack but I didn't say where I was going.

Well,

I went on a mother, daughter trip to Austin Texas with my mom, best friend and her mom.

It was an exciting trip... very interesting.

We went to see "The Phantom of the Opera" since we missed it when it came to Houston,

so when we found out it was coming to Austin we said "ROADTRIP!".

We hit the road early (well.. eleven is early for us) and took Harley to the kennel/ boarding place which was terribly sad and traumatic.

He had never been away from me for more than a few hours! He is like my child! But I had to do it… Turns out this man was checking in his female yorkshire terrier at the same time and Harley was a bit more interested in her than me leaving him. That’s my baby boy!

The road part of the trip went by really fast.

We stopped at this hole in the wall gas station for a yummy veggie pizza (my mouth is watering just thinking about it)
Austin is the biggest party/ college town ever! It was an intense experience.

We finally got to our hotel and got dressed and went to the show. It was good.

We all enjoyed it.

Then went to get the car and Peri (my best friend, Rachel's, mother) put the car into reverse TWICE when we were trying to go forward and almost took out a bush.

It was pretty scary.

There were close to a hundred people standing around us laughing.

Then we tried to find something to eat. There were gangsters and partiers EVERYWHERE!

Traffic was terrible it took us two hours to find the restaurant we wanted to go to (although we got lost a couple of times and flagged down by these total creepers trying to hit on us. I laughed at them, Rach wanted to beat them up. It was pretty funny)

and then we had to wait thirty minutes to get a table.

On the way to the restaurant we seriously witnessed a police chase.

There was a car right in front of us, kinda in a T-bone position and there were cops on bikes checking all the cars for drunk drivers and when one of the cops tried to shine his flash light in the car the car sped off and almost took out one of the cops.

But the guy in the car was completely stupid because there was a cop car DIRECTLY behind him, he only made it like a block. It was funny though.

When we got to the restaurant we were so hungry and tired I think we were like half drunk or high or something because we were laughing at everything and everyone and just acting crazy.

But it was fun. Anyways after that we went back to the hotel ate a huge piece of chocolate cake and then me and Rach snuck downstairs and attempted to work out.

We finally went to sleep around five am.
