18 things to do before I'm 19

I know I'm not 18 yet but its getting so close & I've been thinking about the things I want to accomplish this coming year so here goes:

1. Finish writing one of my books

2. Start college

3. Move into my own apartment

4. Become a donor

5. Go to Cozumel

6. Give up my addiction to soda

7. Throw a party

8. Be able to play the guitar in front of people

9. Be happy

10. Make new friends

11. Take an art class

12. Be able to speak fluently in at least one of the three languages I've been trying to learn

13. Cook & bake more

14. Open the 'shop' (its coming soon guys).

15. Get a new sewing machine & put it to good use

16. Get a tattoo

17. Take more film pictures

18. Travel

Like I said I am working on the shop but what's really been cool is I find most of the pieces I make are inspired by songs. So here is a playlist of some of those inspiring songs.

Its funny how I've been into so much softer music lately.

I don't talk about my mother a lot because, if you know me, I'm usually always upset with her about something or another, & I'm pretty positive she is the reason that at the age of seventeen I already have five grey hairs. Even as I type this I've told her to hush at least twice because I cant concentrate on what I am writing & listen to her yap. But let me tell you something about this woman, She is the strongest lady I know. She has single-handedly gotten me through the roughest times of my life & she is my everything. She means everything to me & who I am, who I will become is all because of her. Every day I become more like her. I used to think of that as a curse, but it is a beautiful blessing.

I've been feeling like I don't really have anything interesting to say...
I guess that is why I've been away from blogland for a bit...
I don't want to bore you guys... & in all honest I still don't have anything interesting to say!
BUT!
I love blogland & blogging too much to stay away forever!

First off I'd like to say my best friend Rachel (in picture above) turned 19 this past weekend! WOOP WOOP!
Celebrate good times, come on, lets celebrate!!!
eehh... did I really just quote that song?... that was incredibly cheesy... please ignore that...

Second, I was totally not getting into the Christmas spirit until "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" came on the radio the other day.. then BAM! I was sold. Seriously guys, just listen to if you are having the holiday blues.. It'll turn it right around.

Also my good friends CastleLights are performing on Fox 26 this morning at 8. If you are in the Houston area check it out, they will be your new favorite band, promise ;)

I want to get him something that will blow his socks off & make him say "Oh my gosh! I cant believe she got me this".
I don't really want to get him shoes cause then I'd have to ask what his shoes size is & I want it to be a complete surprise!
He already has a guitar or I'd get him one...

Frankie's Birthday Weekend 2010

Hey guys!
Just dropping in to see if everyone had a fabulous weekend!?
I know I did.
I spent Thursday & Friday with my Best Friend Rachel,
we celebrated our Best Friend & other half Frankie's birthday.
Yes,
She does live in Utah right now,
but that is no reason we cant have a party just like we would if she was here.
We also made her a rainbow cake :D
Then we had to eat it for her.
Pure torture ;)
I also got to spend time with frankie's brother Cory, who is also one of my best friends. He recently moved back to Texas from Utah & I hadn't gotten to see him yet.
He is so fun! I missed him!
We spent two days together & Saturday we stayed up till like 1:30am watching a scary movie.
Driving home half asleep & paranoid is no fun though haha
Oh!
and lastly!
My fuljifilm Instax Mini came in :D
I cant wait to bust out my scanner & put my first roll I took up :)

But its never too late to celebrate a birthday in my book

Its been one crazy year, and I've changed so much.

But I'm proud of who I'm becoming,

this crazy, photography lovin, blog obsessed, fashion crazed young chicka.
