I'm "in a relationship"

Bryce, Oh Bryce.

(unfortunately he isn't pron to taking "serious" pictures but personally I think his charming good looks shine through his silly faces, plus before this moment I never noticed how perfect his teeth really are... Scary)

Not that any of you guys are particularly interested in my love life, but I plan to tell you the following story anyways, because as Bryce says "I blog my whole life", so bear with me.

You may have heard his name mentions here before (in fact if you read those posts from bottom to top you can kind of see our rise & decline of a relationship). As you can see I met him on vacation on the Summer of my 16th year. I was visiting my best friend who was raised there & recently moved back. That month I was there was a world wind of events but I left that Summer not being sure of many things but one thing I knew for sure, I had left my heart in Utah, with Bryce. He was a soldier, about to leave for basic training, in his last few months of freedom. I was a teenage girl from Texas, without a job & no concrete plans for the future except to live life to the fullest & I was completely cynical about love (at this point in my life I thought love was nothing more than general attraction, that you had completely control of who you "loved" & for how long, & I was convinced that it was not heart stopping, there was no such thing has "fireworks" & "sparks" & marriage was equivalent to prison). Then, we met & he fell for me for some crazy reason I'll probably never understand & despite the fact that I was trying to keep my mind on the logically "No Brooke, you live in Texas, he is leaving, this will never work" I fell for him too. By the end of the Summer we were making crazy promises like "We are going to be together forever" & "The next few months will fly bye till my basic graduation then we will see each other again" & we were making plans for the future.
Unfortunately, a funny thing happens when you start becoming adults. You get selfish. You get mean. You start thinking a bit TOO logically. Add in a mix of missing the person you love so terribly you cant see straight & the frustration of the time you are suppose to see each other keep getting pushed further into the future & you have an emotional disaster on your hands, about ready to break. Maybe it was logical for us to break up like we did, & try to move on, find new people who we got to see more, or maybe people we cared for less so we wouldn't miss them so much when we weren't with them. But unfortunately, I couldn't do either. Not a day has passed since the day we met that I haven't thought about him & wished he was still mine.
Its been over a year of a back & forth games like "I love you, but I don't want to hurt you again", & "lets be friends" then quickly realizing we cant stay JUST friends, & trying to live without one another & then realizing that was close to impossible.
Yesterday we would've been together a year & six months.
But it was even better.. it was the day we got back together.

We've grown up, we've changed, & we've become 'somewhat' of adults right before each others very eyes.. but I'm glad one thing hasn't changed thus far.

More about Bryce: he is stationed in Korea, he has too many tattoos (just kidding! hehe but I do like to pick on him about this subject), he plays me songs on the guitar, he likes cars that go too fast & enjoys Scooby Doo, which honestly, if he didn't it would've been a deal breaker & is dreaming of one day becoming a cop, he is one of the most driven people I've ever met & the biggest hippie I've ever seen wearing a military uniform, & he has the absolute coolest mom.

So 'boyfriend' is finally boyfriend once again & all is right with the World & I can openly gab about how much it sucks when missing someone becomes a stable feeling in a relationship & I can confess to the World how much I really think about this boy without anyone passing judgement. :)

Let's get rich and build our house on a mountain, makin everybody look like ants...

{Me and boyfriend}
Haven't blogged a lot... again...
My life hasn't been very busy lately.
Just keeping in contact with my Bryce.
Staying at home, exercising, TRYING to get on a normal sleep schedule.
I've gone to Rach's a couple of times but that's pretty much all I've done since I've got home.
Just trying to get unpacked.
I've gotten rid of so much of my things.
I'm really loving the saying "out with the old, in with the new" lately.
I actually lost all my pictures, videos, contacts and EVERYTHING on my phone :/
My phone finally gave out.
But they gave me a shiny new one :)
only problem is I only have a fourth of my contacts back.
On a lighter note tomorrow I'm going to a Muse/U2 concert with my lovie, Rach :)
Should be fun!
I'm very excited!
ALSO! Tomorrow will be mine and Bryce's one month anniversary.
I cant believe its been a month.
Many more months to come :)

Sunday Beach Day

Yeah, Yeah, I know I'm late.

But I wanted to show my good friend Bryce the last picture on here before I posted it on the interweb & I haven't been able to talk to him the last few days.

My mom's good friend was taking her two daughters to the beach the Sunday, & I must admit.
I had a great time.
& It wasn't even that humid!
(which is normally the reason I hate the beach)
We ate, we chilled, we swam.
Good Sunday.

I made this for my friend Bryce,
He has never seen the Ocean before & I promised I'd write him a message in the sand
He is currently serving our country in Korea & I cant wait till he gets out & moves to Houston & I get to see his face everyday, (I do now.. but web cam isn't the same).
& He gets to see the Ocean for real!

Bryce

Yes guys.

I fell in love in Utah.

I don't even know what it was...

Maybe all the nights he would stay up with me looking at the stars.

Or how he was an amazing friend to me no matter what.

Or the fact that he seriously treats me better than anyone ever has.

His hugs, or his smile.

Or how he was extremely romantic without even trying.

Or how I could talk to him about anything.

How he finds the stupid things I do funny.

Or how he became my best friend after knowing him for like two days.
Or how no matter what we did, it was always the best times I'd ever had.
I could go on about him forever but I think that you guys would probably want to shoot me.

anyways,
you guys are probably like,
Brooke! He lives in Utah!
What the heck?

Yes he does.
He is going into the military.
In fact Wednesday he is leaving for basic training :/
It is going to be so hard.
And its really going to be a challenge.
The only way to contact him is through letters
(which I'm very excited about! I've been wanting to write people letters for awhile. In fact before I went to Utah me and frankie were planning on becoming pen pals but it never really took off because we talked on the phone everyday anyways)
But we are going to go through things that most relationships never experience.
I think we are going to be just fine. :)
after he gets done with that he will hopefully be stationed in Texas.
And I will get to go see him all the time.
I never thought I would be dating a military guy.
I didn't even WANT to like him!
I tried to avoid it so much.

When I came to Utah I could wait to meet all of frankie and her families friends and family down there.
One of those people were Bryce.
The first time I met him I noticed he was the exact kind of person I LOVED to be around.
Hilarious, fun, good looking (haha), and the BEST personality.
Somehow we just hit it off as friends and talked and hung out all the time.
He eventually told me his feelings for me and ended up asking me out.
Which he didn't want to do until he got back from basic, but I'm so happy he did!
It was perfect.
So I now have a boyfriend.
Who is amazing.
and I couldn't be happier
even though he is going to basic which is 1,001 miles away from me for the next few months.
He really is awesome.
and I cant wait for him to get to Texas!

silly boy

I think boyfriend should go to "making silly faces in pictures anonymous"
they have it for drugs & alcohol, I personally feel that this is just as serious of a problem.
This picture was waiting for me in my inbox this morning.
It made me start my day with a smile & a little giggle :)
He's cute.
to see more silly faces by Bryce go here

I did it again...

I let my blogging get away from me...
Well I have good news!
Bryce hasn't left for the military yet.
In my other blog I totally posted something about how he hurt his wrist.
Well it looks like he sprained it so he wont be leaving till the day before my birthday (Feb 17th).
Yeah... great birthday present... haha
But I think it'll be fine.
He will be here for his birthday, Christmas, Valentines Day and our five month anniversary so he will be home for a lot.
Only problem is his home is like 23 hours away :(
but we have some plans that will hopefully be fallen through with for the next couple of months.
I really hope he gets to come down here.
I got to meet some many of his friends and family,
I hope to get to share the same thing with him.
Plus he has never seen the ocean!
I'd love to take him to the beach!
So on another note,
my camera is broken :(
I'm working on getting another one.
I hate not being able to post pictures with my blogs.
But don't worry.
THEY WILL BE BACK.
So the other day I totally spent the night at Rach's and we played in the rain...
Just like old times.
I've missed her..
I also got to meet her new niece :)

{this is a picture that I took on my phone, look how cute she is}

baby London.
So gorgeous.
Besides that I've just been sitting at home talking to boyfriend all the time.
Last night we talked for six and a half straight hours.
It completely made my day.
We are actually talking right now..
A lot of people say that long distance relationships don't work but to be completely honest,
I couldn't be happier than I am with him, with someone who actually lived here.
We make it work,
and I'm so happy.
:)

{I miss him so much}

In 5 years time, I might not know you..

Just a collage of pictures from today.
I spent most of the day in my bathing suit.
I didn't go to sleep till around 7:30am then woke up & went back to sleep numerous times until 4pm (yeah. I have a messed up schedule. Don't judge.)
I cant decided what I like better..
I mean when I have my sleeping pills... being on a normal schedule is great & I feel lazy getting up so late in the day!
but I work better at night, I think better at night, I also get to talk to one of my great friends Bryce who is in the military & stationed in Korea so he is on a complete different schedule than I am.
anywho!
I got up around 4pm & went to the pool & just chilled out, & read.
{taken with phone cam, bad quality}
Ahh! It was so peaceful! I cant even describe!
I think I'm going to do the same tomorrow!
Jeez... Another reason to hate the fact that fall is coming so fast & Summer is coming to an end.

Utah Part 2

So I've now been in Utah two weeks and a day.
:)
I'm having such a great time!
People keep asking me if I'm ready to come home yet or when I'm coming home,
The truth is I'm not quite sure if I am ready to go home yet..
I probably should figure that out!
Here are some highlights from this past week and a day:
1. Last Monday I decided to go for a run and I ended up running around the whole town of Price, by myself, without my phone... and it got dark and I got lost... I was embarrassed.
2. Experienced the wonders of eating "inside" at a Sonic
3. Having a movie night with Tina, Bryce, and Carson.
4. Figuring out that Tina's oven will only cook things if you turn it on high.. the hard way.
5. Fixed everyone dinner
6. Two and a half hours on a bus ride with Frankie and the Carbon High School football team on a way to an away game.
7. When the ball fumbled straight to my foot and about 50 football players were running toward me and EVERYONE was staring at me.
8. Going to my first Durby at the fairgrounds in Price.
9. Watching "Dora the Explorer" with Frankie (funniest experience ever!)
10. Watching "17 Again" again, and again... and again...
and the absolutely favorite thing about this week:
Throwing a football around with Jake and Frankie last night in Washington park at 10:30 at night
here are a few pictures of my time in Utah so far:
Down by the swing.
We tried to make a fire..
didn't work out that well
Eating INSIDE at sonic with Frankie
We love each other... kinda ha
Frankie in front of Carbon
Me at football practice
Me and Frankie at football practice... I still cant believe she decided to be a manager hahaha.
She only did it for the gorgeous guys!
Me, Frankie and Liz in the boys locker room
Me swinging at the park
at the away game with Frankie and Liz
Like I said, she is only in it for the guys!
haha!
This is what she does instead of getting the players water..
Me and Frankie at the durby.. She didn't want her picture taken that day
The durby
and again

Frankie never realized her garage door was yellow before

Sunday was a Funday

Dear Mom,
Thank you for not being mad at me when I got a little cranky with you a couple of times today. & thank you for going & getting me a frosty, & letting me pick out what show we got to watch (CSI for the win!)

Dear Bryce,
Thank you for playing the guitar to me as I went to sleep at like 3 this morning, thank you for forcing me to finally go to sleep, thank you staying on web cam with me just cause I asked you not to leave me, thank you for being there when I woke up again, & thank you for saying I sleep cute. Thank you for spending your entire day off talking to me. You're silly but even though you are like 7000 miles away you still make me smile.

Dear Life,
I kinda like you right now. We've had some problems the last year, But the last few weeks you've had a million beautiful surprises for me & I'm starting to truly love you again. Just please keep this up, I beg of you!

I hope everyone else had a good Sunday as well!

shine on

whoa, whoa, whoa.
I've been in bed all day.
Today was the biggest lazy day I've had since I've been off!
I literally slept pretty much all day.
I've been staying up talking to Bryce every night, until he goes to sleep,
which is 9pm or 10pm in Korea, but more like 7am or 8am here.
So I just stay up till he goes to bed so we have plenty of time to talk.
Of course I cant blame it entirely on him!
I do have insomnia & haven't been taking my sleeping pills.
usually sleep till the early afternoon hours & then do it all over again the next night.
But I fear its catching up with me. Today I woke up at 4pm, then stayed up till around 6pm. I was laying in bed reading a book & just kinda dosed off.
I stayed asleep until almost 10pm!
Its been great talking to my favorite mister but I fear I'm going to have to come up with a better plan after I get back to work.

Anyways, I guess that is it for me tonight I'll leave you with some good ole' tunage.

This song never gets old to me because it promotes one of the biggest lessons I've learned & I think everyone should learn in their lives.
Never, NEVER, NEVER give up

but don't quit till you win your prize,

& remember your a diamond to me.
each & every one of you.

Brooke
