WearLove

Today I spent the whole day watching an ungodly amount of cartoons & making chicken nuggets on the constant & hanging out with a five & six year old but surprisingly in the end I don't have much to blog about so I decided to tell everyone about this amazing new thing (like seriously, its gonna be bigger than FML & other such websites) before it blows up so you can be the cool kid that was into first ;)

My friend Megan White who is a great photographer & took this photo of me, that I still use a lot in my professional & personal life even though its two years old. lol I still love it!

She is now a college graduate & a graphic designer & working with a great company! She's also started this great little movement that, seriously, I was looking on the website & I just got high on life looking at it!

Here is the mission statement from the website:
WearLove is an organization who's main goal is to show you how much you truly matter. And to encourage those who have a passion to change their world.
You're thoughts and ideas are effective, no matter you're age, color, shape or size. Everyone feels like they are going unseen but this is where we want to draw the line. Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.
When you wear a WearLove t-shirt, you could impact someones day.

like it on
facebook! Bookmark the website! The website is still under construction BUT I was just thumbing through it & I seriously cant wait to start the projects! I got so giddy & excited!
It reinvested my love in humanity!

& If WearLove's website doesn't make you crack a smile then this should

& if that doesn't this REALLY WILL!

Dear True Love,

Lets just run away together.
Life is crazy, & You have responsibilities & so do I.
I'll try & back out, & say I have work, or school but don't let me.
Lets lay on the beaches in Mexico, Lets kiss under waterfalls, Lets sit on the pyramids in Egypt & lets climb Mount Everest.
& When we have children they will see how much we love each other & they'll want what we have.
& we will know that after watching us they wont want to settle for less.
I don't know where you are in the World.
If I've already met you (which sometimes I think I have), or if I haven't.
If you're reading this now, or not.
I know these are the best days of my life & I really try to enjoy them as much as possible, but
All I know is until I'm wearing your shirt, humming love songs, barefoot in the kitchen fixing you your favorite breakfast because I know you are going to have a long day of work that day,
life just feels incomplete.

I'm not a morning person. But for this, I'll make an exception

{via}
Watched the sunrise. Slept in. Chocolate donut with rainbow sprinkles. Writing. Reading. Rainstorm/ Thunderstorm. Comfy bed.

So far I'm in love with this morning.

Just because I'm losing, doesnt mean i've lost

{via}
I would love to post a picture I actually took on my blog this week but my camera hasn't gotten much use since I've been home due to the fact that I have no idea where my camera is!
Its somewhere in my new room,
must have gotten lost in the shuffle of things.
I'll find it soon though..
hopefully..

Okay,
this weeks update.
New obsession:
The feeling of having my own money that I earned!
{and the super cute wallet that I bought with some of that money ;)}

This Weeks Words of Honesty:
Anything is possible folks.
I know,
sounds cliche but yesterday a little miracle happened in my life.
I would love to share with you the whole story!
But unfortunately I cant right now,
due to the fact I don't know who reads this.
BUT!
I will say this!
When you hold on to something, or want something so bad, or believe in something
Everyone is going to tell you your wrong.
Your friends, parents, everyone.
And that's when you should hold on the hardest.
If you believe in something,
don't let it go.
When its time to let go,
your heart will tell you.
I don't care how much hope you've lost, if there is a tiny flicker of believe left in your heart and soul, fuel it daily.
Because with that tiny spark you can set everyone elses doubts on fire.

Eleanor Roosevelt

So recently I did something that scared me.
Terrified me!
In fact I almost threw up twice before.
And then I got there, and ended up doing it and something else I would've never done.
And you wanna know what?
Even though everything didn't go the way I wanted it to,
I felt..
brave!
I felt like I was floating on cloud 9.
I was proud of myself.
I never thought I would have the guts to do it.
I felt alive,
like I was really living life for the first time.
And it gave so much more meaning to the sentence above.
So I say
Do what scares you.
Even if it may not work out perfectly.
I love to think 'would the six year old me, who believe I could grow up and do anything back out? Or would she want me to do it anyways?'
The answer is she wouldn't want to grow up to be scared of so much.
She would want to be the girl who wasn't afraid of anything.

Here are a few quotes that get me through when it comes to being 'brave':
"Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway" - John Wayne
"You can do what you think is impossible. Keep on believing, don't give in. It'll come and make you whole again. It always will, it always does. Love is unstoppable" - Rascal Flatts
"Don't look down before you dive. Because the bottom of the dream is what takes us up so high" - Castledoor
"Never consider the possibility of failure; as long as you persist, you will be successful"
remember!
You're not afraid of the dark, you are afraid of whats in it.
You're not afraid of heights, you're afraid of of the pain of failing.
You're not afraid of people around you, you're afraid of rejection.
You're not afraid to love, you're afraid of not being loved back
And you're not afraid to try again, you are just afraid of getting hurt again.

Age ain't nothin but a number

I'd like to meet someone that doesn't want to be like this couple one of these days

Inspirational Sunday

"Love is everything it's cracked up to be. That's why people are so cynical about it...It really is worth fighting for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don't risk everything, you risk even more." - Erica Jong

Summertime, I feel you in me

{via}
Its coming,
It is just around the corner.
I pray that since this was the coldest Winter for us in a LONG time here in Texas that it will not mean the hottest Summer as well.
I pray it stays cool for awhile.
I also pray for an amazing Summer.
Full of happiness, laughter and love.
Most of all, love.
More of the love I felt at the end of last Summer.
Okay.
With this post I will leave a lovely quote
"I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love" - Mother Teresa

I love

PINWHEELS
pinwheels Pictures, Images and Photos

I think they just remind me of a more simple time when everything was right.

Do you love them too?

Tuesday, August 4, 2009

Everything is changing, nothing stays the same.

Yesterday something horrible happened...
two bad things happened.
But I mostly want to talk about the first one.
I was so sad, at first.
I talked to my best friends..
I went from balling my eyes out to being happier than I've been in a long time...
you wanna know why?
because I sincerely believe that everything happens for a reason.
I sincerely believe if things are truly meant to happen then they will..
and if not, no matter how horrible you may feel now
Something better WILL come along.
pain isn't forever.
And sometimes everything has to change in order for you to be truly happy.
and I know in the end I will be.
I just pray about it and let it go....

and as for the second thing....
two people I dearly love who are like second parents to me are moving away.
its quite sad really.
I'm waiting for it to really hit me.

I'm so proud of my Nathan!

He graduated yesterday.

He's only sixteen.

He is brilliant.

He also was his student body president.

Next stop,

president of the united states

I got super tired during the ceremony

Me and John's favorite part was the old fashion Dr. Peppers :)
