3 - 06 - 10

my mom took the picture above this morning at sunrise.
Lately I've been so depressed and lonely and all I do is sit in the house.
Which just gives me more time to relish in what has been going on in my life.
So this afternoon, I jumped in my jeep with nothing but my book and drove.
I decided I need time alone (away from my mother and my little puppy who is as needy as a new born baby.).
I didn't get far before I realized I didn't really want to be alone,
I just needed to get out of the house.
I ended up going home and picking up Harley and taking him to meet my friends Daylon, and Ryan at Daylon's house.
Harley has had an eventful day.

Now,
I'm home.
But I am going to make Daylon come pick me up and take me to do something.
Probably go sit in a park and talk.
I love having guy friends.
They are the best people to talk to.
Especially Daylon,
we have been friends since we were ten.

You have my heart

Today I just feel the need to pray for the men and women who are fighting for our freedom,
and there families who sometimes don't even know where they are, how they are, or if they are even alive.
I never really thought much about these people
- even though I come from a long line of military men - until my friend joined.
Now it just seems so scary to me.
Not all of us support the war, but I'm pretty sure we can all support the men and women that sign over there lives for us.
And if you are in the military, I'm giving you a hug in my mind right now :)

Utah

Exactly a week ago I jumped on a plane to come visit my loves
(the Tina, Frankie and Cory part of the Stokes family).
My mother and Cody (another member of the Stokes family), saw me off at the airport.
It was a long two plane rides...
and I had a lay over in Phoenix AZ and I almost didn't get on my second flight because for some reason they didn't have anymore room on the plane...?
and they were switching peoples flights.
But I kinda made the lady up front feel bad so she let me pre-board :)
I arrived in the Salt Lake airport so happy and giddy.
When I saw Frankie I completely attacked her with a huge hug.
In a week I've seen the entire city of Price (where they live)
met all of Frankie's friends here.
Not to mention the whole football team (Frankie decided to be a football manager, haha!)
I've played fugitive (I game I never stopped hearing about with the Stokes lived in Texas).
Hurt my knee while playing it (so worth it),
Met there great grandparents (SUCH nice people!)
Went to the museum with Frankie and dug up plastic dinosaurs (hehe)
Jumped in the canal with all my clothes on with Frankie,
and experienced a lot of Frankie's favorite things about this cute little town.

So far my favorite part is the weather.
I've been getting up with Frankie when she gets ready for school and going for a run after she leaves.
There is no humidity and its nice and breezy.
This last week has held so many laughs and good times.
I cant WAIT to see what this one holds...

{Rachel took this lovely photo over a wall that says "Mexico", I love it}

{Me and Axel, such an adorable kid!}

{This girl (who could barely speak English) told me I reminded her of Bella from "Twilight". It was SO sweet!}

{The second church we painted}

{Across from the church we painted, such a beautiful view}

{We were trying to open the coconut we found on the beach}

{Yum! By the way, I have paint on my hands.}

{Walking along the beach was so peaceful}

{Me painting}

{Cody with the pastors ADORABLE little puppy that we fed}

{Rachel likes to touch my butt! With paint on her hands. hehe. I think we got more paint on ourselves than the walls!}

{The water was so beautiful}

{This ladies house in the village where the church was}

{This lady was nice enough to invite us to her house and give us starfish she and family found}

{Cody looking wonderful}

{Peri: Wonderful translator/ second mom}
{Me and Cody takin a break. I jumped 13 feet into the water for this boy!}

{Us praying for the kids in the freshly painted church}

{me and the kids of the village}

{The food was the best!}

Then on the way home we went to South Padre and chilled at the beach for a few hours

{We had some fabulous Mexican Popsicles on the beach. One last taste of Mexico}

{Me dancing to "Strawberry Swing" by Coldplay on the beach. It was lovely. That song so perfectly described that day}

{Me and Cody on the ride home. I was looking like a lobster!}

{The ride was full of a lot of laughs, a TON of sleep, and a little sadness. We had such a great week. No one wanted it to end}
