Beach Day

yesterday I kidnapped my best friend Rachel when she got off work for a fun date in Galveston.

here are the highlights:

Eating at The Spot!

One of my favorite restaurants ever! Best fries ever! Amazing veggie burgers too, but I decided to go with the fried pickles since I've been craving fried pickles for a few months now.

seriously if you are ever in Galveston, I highly recommend this restaurant. amazing food, super cool building. one of my favs.

+ Spinning in circles on the beach, flapping our arms like birds & having the lifeguard think we were drunk.

+ Laughing till we cried sitting on the beach, talking about old memories.

+ Playing soccer on the beach until our feet were blood red from kicking so hard.

+ almost hitting a couple that was making out with our soccer ball.. Did I mention the girl had her shirt off..? & no bathing suit. She was laying on her stomach most of the time we were there while her boyfriend rubbed her back & got a little too touchy feely.. This isn't the Jersey Shore! Get a room!

+ Getting Ben & Jerry's.

+ The facebook status war we had when we got to her house.

Just trust me, always sign out of your facebook.

Low-lights:

+ Using an entire tank of gas in one day. Seriously, gas is expensive these days.

Thankful Tuesday's

The things I am thankful for today:

1. Texas Weather
I know! I know! This is the number uno thing I complain about in all of the World! But this week has been nice. It was a nice and hot day when I was feeling Summery, a rainy day yesterday when I just wanted to stay in bed & pig out & watch chick flicks, & today a nice cool, breezy day that is soothing my soul.

2. A Twisted Fairytale
Today I decided to catch up on some of my favorite blogs. Meg is such a talented writer & her blog is amazing, I could sit & read it all day! I started going further back in her archives reading her wonderful posts & honestly, I felt like the biggest bi-polar freak! Within twenty minutes I had laughed so hard I almost fell off my bed, been so mad at her step mom I was ready to fly to Utah & kick her step mother in the knee & I had cried so uncontrollably about the way she talks so beautifully about her mother that has past, that my mother thought I was having a melt down of some sorts.

3. The Romantics Soundtrack

I'm not quite sure how I feel about the movie but the soundtrack changed my life. Unfortunately I couldn't find all the songs on the Internet or itunes but here are a few.

These few days without blogging feels like years!

Its been BUS-AH!

End of the week update:

- This totally shocked me & kind of intrigued me

- I went from my normal nanny status to a live in nanny for two days & loved it :)

- I went to Discovery Green for my first time & loved it! Cant believe id never been. I'm such a horrible Houstonian.

- Hit my bosses gorgeous new car with mine... It was my first accident ever... Luckily there wasn't much damage & my boss is a saint & I love her to death & I'm eternally grateful for the fact she didn't even get mad!

- Spent way to much money on clothes.. but don't regret it :)

- Listened to the new Doom & Gloom song that came out today "Make Me An Offer" a little too much.. but also don't regret it :)

- & now I'm a little sickie

I need your guys help!!!

I don't know where to get some new film for my instax mini 7 that I can go bbuuyyyyy!

I need some asap & don't have time to order it off the interweb.

I feel like this is an impossible request & a dumb question but I had to ask..

We are all packed & unpacked.
Haha Just joking!
My mom is,
I haven't quite gotten to the 'unpacking' part.
My room is full of boxes.
The only thing that isn't is my TV, bedding, clothes, & bathroom stuff.
I know you're probably like 'Well what else do you have?'. Yeah.. I don't exactly know... That's why I haven't bothered to worry about tons of boxes surrounded me.

Besides the fact that he tried to jump off our second story balcony..

No I take that back he DID jump off our second story balcony.

Thanks to an amazing friend who grabbed his leash at the last second & thanks to God that his neck didn't brake & he wasn't strangled to death in the few seconds it took to pull him to safety!?

I now view him as suicidal, my moms friend says his nickname is 'Suicide' & we had to put this tacky wire fence on our balcony to insure his safety. *sigh*

Last night a cold front came in & today's weather was 'lovely' according to everyone else.
I'm not quite in the mood for amazing, chill, non-humid, anti-pool/ beach weather yet.
I don't know why, seeing how I hate Texas Summers but I'm just not looking forward to it going this year. But by mid-day I took my book & sat outside in the pretty weather with the cool breeze for a bit. It was nice, I wont deny. It made me dream of a future in a small, old fashion, southern town. Sitting on my front porch swing, emerged in a good book. Which someday I WILL happen.

Sunday Beach Day

Yeah, Yeah, I know I'm late.

But I wanted to show my good friend Bryce the last picture on here before I posted it on the interweb & I haven't been able to talk to him the last few days.

My mom's good friend was taking her two daughters to the beach the Sunday, & I must admit.

I had a great time.

& It wasn't even that humid!

(which is normally the reason I hate the beach)

We ate, we chilled, we swam.

He is currently serving our country in Korea & I cant wait till he gets out & moves to Houston & I get to see his face everyday, (I do now.. but web cam isn't the same).
