Eleanor Roosevelt

So recently I did something that scared me.
Terrified me!
In fact I almost threw up twice before.
And then I got there, and ended up doing it and something else I would've never done.
And you wanna know what?
Even though everything didn't go the way I wanted it to,
I felt..
brave!
I felt like I was floating on cloud 9.
I was proud of myself.
I never thought I would have the guts to do it.
I felt alive,
like I was really living life for the first time.
And it gave so much more meaning to the sentence above.
So I say
Do what scares you.
Even if it may not work out perfectly.
I love to think 'would the six year old me, who believe I could grow up and do anything back out? Or would she want me to do it anyways?'
The answer is she wouldn't want to grow up to be scared of so much.
She would want to be the girl who wasn't afraid of anything.

Here are a few quotes that get me through when it comes to being 'brave':
"Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway" - John Wayne
"You can do what you think is impossible. Keep on believing, don't give in. It'll come and make you whole again. It always will, it always does. Love is unstoppable" - Rascal Flatts
"Don't look down before you dive. Because the bottom of the dream is what takes us up so high" - Castledoor
"Never consider the possibility of failure; as long as you persist, you will be successful"
remember!
You're not afraid of the dark, you are afraid of whats in it.
You're not afraid of heights, you're afraid of of the pain of failing.
You're not afraid of people around you, you're afraid of rejection.
You're not afraid to love, you're afraid of not being loved back
And you're not afraid to try again, you are just afraid of getting hurt again.

Nice post! But I don't think I'll be able to hold a chick or a bird a day cause that really scares the hell out of me. Lol.
